About Our Centre
For 30 years, Evangel Vesico Vaginal Fistula Center has offered caring support to women and children with genital fistulas and related issues in Nigeria and nearby African countries. Over the years, we have cared for over 12,000 women; with a current average of 700 surgeries per year.
We provide physical care, surgeries, rehabilitation, and help with reintegration. We offer these services for free to the women with funds from Fistula Foundation USA. Our services in Gombe and Taraba states are funded by CBM Global.
We also serve as a training and referral center for various complex cases of female genital fistula, including procedures like urinary diversion and creating a neo-vagina.
