A 15-Year Legacy of Compassion and Commitment at BHUTH

Bingham University Teaching Hospital (BHUTH) recently bid a heartfelt farewell to Dr. Jae Hyeok Adams Lee, a missionary doctor whose 15-year tenure in Nigeria has left an indelible mark on both the institution and the community.

Dr. Lee's journey at BHUTH began with a mission to serve, and over the years, he embodied the hospital's vision of being a Christ-centered teaching hospital of excellence. His contributions extended beyond medical care; he was instrumental in various projects that have enhanced the hospital's facilities and services.

One notable project was the planting of flowers around the hospital premises, transforming the environment into a serene and welcoming space for patients and staff alike. Currently, he is leading the construction of the Managed Care Unit, a testament to his unwavering commitment to improving healthcare delivery at BHUTH.

During the farewell service, Prof. Stephen Anzaku, Chief Medical Director of BHUTH, expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Lee's dedication. He highlighted the sacrifices made by Dr. Lee and his family in choosing to stay in Nigeria, serving the community with compassion and excellence. Prof. Anzaku also acknowledged Dr. Lee's efforts in organizing free medical outreaches around the city of Jos, bringing healthcare to those in need.

Dr. Nuhu Tumba, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, along with other medical staff, shared their gratitude for the opportunity to train under Dr. Lee's guidance. They commended his passion for healthcare and his dedication to ensuring that BHUTH attains its mission of providing inclusive and qualitative healthcare services.
