It was a remarkable and joyous occasion as the leadership of ECWA, in conjunction with the Board Chairman and representatives of the management team of Bingham University Teaching Hospital (BHUTH) and the League of Friends, came together for the formal dedication of the hospital’s newly renovated maternity unit.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor Stephen Anzaku, warmly welcomed all attendees and expressed deep appreciation to the ECWA Executives, the Board, management, and staff for their unwavering commitment and collaborative effort in bringing the maternity project to fruition. He proudly announced that the upgraded facility now meets modern healthcare standards, designed to provide quality maternal care in a serene and well-equipped environment.
Prof. Anzaku extended special thanks to the ECWA General Secretary, Reverend Ayuba Asheshe, for his continued support of the hospital and its various developmental strides.
In his goodwill message, Dr. James Agada lauded the hospital’s management and staff, emphasizing that their dedication remains the driving force behind BHUTH’s outstanding performance. “Every staff member plays a vital role in making this hospital a center of excellence,” he said.
Reverend Ayuba Asheshe, in his remarks, commended the CMD for his visionary leadership and tireless drive for innovation and progress within the hospital. “I am always excited to visit this hospital because each invitation brings good news from road projects to building projects that are transforming the face of BHUTH,” he said. He also recognized the pivotal support of the Board Chairman and members for their consistent commitment to the hospital's advancement.
The high point of the event was the official dedication of the renovated maternity unit, led by Rev. Asheshe, followed by an extensive tour of the upgraded facility. Visibly impressed, the General Secretary described the maternity ward as a “state-of-the-art facility,” marveling at the quality of work and the attention to detail. He praised the staff for their relentless dedication and offered prayers for continued growth, innovation, and excellence at BHUTH.
