Appreciation Message from the Chief Medical Director, Professor Stephen
What a day! What a joy! What a moment to be alive and be part of history!
On behalf of the entire management and staff of Bingham University Teaching Hospital, it is with a heart overflowing with gratitude that I extend my deepest appreciation to every one of you who honoured us with your presence, your support, and your prayers at the dedication of our new Maternity Building.
Let me begin where all good things begin with the people.
To our incredible staff: the unsung heroes in white coats and behind-the-scenes warriors who make this hospital more than just bricks and mortar you are the pulse of BHUTH. You show up daily, not just to work, but to serve, to heal, and to hope. This building is not just dedicated to maternity care; it is dedicated to your faithfulness.
To the management team: thank you for the countless hours of planning, revising, coordinating, and let’s be honest gentle correction that brought this dream to fruition. Your leadership didn’t just build a maternity center; you built a legacy.
To the ever supportive and wise Board Chairman, thank you for your guidance and unrelenting commitment to the vision of this hospital. Your belief in us made it easier for us to believe in ourselves.
Special recognition goes to the distinguished Dean of the College of Medicine, Jos. Sir, your presence reminded us that academia and practical healthcare are not rivals but partners in progress. We are truly honoured.
To our revered former CMDs you walked so we could run! This achievement is also your victory. We stand tall today because we are standing on your shoulders.
Our warmest appreciation goes to the representatives from the League of Friends. Your support sometimes quiet, sometimes loud is always felt. Friends like you are the reason the walls of this hospital are held up not just by cement but by love.
To the ECWA Executives, led with spiritual grace by Rev. Dr. Ayuba Asheshe thank you for being the wind beneath our wings. Your presence brought a sacred blessing to the occasion, reminding us all that healing begins with the heart and prayer makes the work complete.
Our gratitude also extends to other dignitaries whose presence turned the dedication into a celebration of community and compassion.
You all carved time out of your packed schedules to stand with us, and for that, we are truly honoured.
In all, what we witnessed was more than a building dedication. It was a testament to teamwork, divine favour, and the unbreakable spirit of community. We laughed, we prayed, some of us even danced a little. It was beautiful.
As we move forward, let us remember: this maternity building is not just a facility. It is a sanctuary of life, a cradle of beginnings, a place where miracles will cry their first cry. And it was made possible because of you.
So, from the bottom of my heart, from the soul of this hospital, and from every future mother and child who will benefit from this structureThank You.
May God bless you all. May He bless the work of your hands. And may He continue to bless Bingham University Teaching Hospital.
With warmth, joy, and gratitude
Prof. Stephen Anzaku
